It looks like we will be having some really nice weather next week. As a result I will be having a Pickleball playing clinic next Wednesday at Johnson Ranch. There will only be one session. It will start at 10:30am and will last until 12:30am. The idea of the session is to improve your game play. You will play games during the session and Lorraine and I will watch you play and provide on-the-spot feedback with respect to things that you can improve. The session will be limited to 16 players. I will do 3 or 4 training short training elements distributed throughout the session. This means that you will actually be playing most of the 2 hours. We will attempt to organize games with players of similar skill level, but you will probably play a few games against players who are more or less skilled than you are.
The cost will be $16/person for the session for non-Johnson Ranch players. Johnson Ranch members can participate for $10. Anyone who participates can come early or stay afterwards for open play. I need to arrange in advance who will be participating so I’m asking interested players to send a message to email@example.com saying that they will come if there is space available. I will fill up the clinic in the order in which I receive responses.
In your response please indicate your skill level. You can choose novice, intermediate, advanced, or you can provide your rating if you know it, e.g., 2.5, 3.0…)
I am considering filming one of the courts and having players who are interested in being filmed rotate through it. I could then make DVD’s of the entire video so that you would have some footage of yourself playing in a game. It would cost an additional $10 each for the people who wanted to be filmed and who wanted a copy of the DVD. I would need at least 10 people to be interested in being filmed in this way to make it worth setting this up. If you are interested in participating in the filming aspect of this session and receive a DVD, then please indicate this in your response.
I will send out confirmations for the session by 10pm Sunday, February 7th.
